Laser Mirrors: a laser mirror puzzle you solve from memory
Laser Mirrors is a laser mirror puzzle with a twist: you only get to see the mirrors for a few seconds. They light up on a square board, then hide, and the laser fires from one of the numbered ports around the edge. You have to work out in your head where the bouncing beam comes out.

How to play
- Study the board while the mirrors are lit and note which way each one leans.
- When they hide, find the laser on its port.
- Trace the beam in your mind: every mirror turns it by 90 degrees.
- Tap the numbered port where you think it leaves, within 15 seconds.
- Get 3 predictions right to clear the level. A miss or a timeout costs one of your 3 lives.
What it exercises
In this laser puzzle the beam rule is simple. Holding the whole board in mind after it disappears is the real work.
Spatial reasoning
You rotate a path in your head: right becomes up, up becomes left, and so on through several bounces.
Visual working memory
Up to ten pieces must be remembered by position and direction once the board goes dark.
Mental simulation
Splitters send the beam two ways at once, so you follow two paths from the same point.
Tips
- Think of each mirror as an arrow that bends the beam. Say the bounces to yourself: right, up, right.
- From level 5 the laser appears only after the mirrors hide, so memorize the whole board, not one path.
- Ports are numbered clockwise from the top-left corner. Learning that order helps you find the exit quickly.
- Answering quickly earns a speed bonus that fades over about ten seconds, but a wrong guess costs a life. Accuracy comes first.
- A flawless level, with no misses, adds an extra bonus to your score.
Frequently asked questions
How does a laser mirror puzzle work?
A beam travels in a straight line until it meets a mirror set at 45 degrees, which turns it 90 degrees. The puzzle is to predict where the beam ends up after all its bounces.
How do the levels get harder?
The board grows from 4x4 to 5x5 at level 3 and 6x6 at level 6. Mirrors increase from 2 up to 10, each beam must hit more of them, and after level 11 the time you can look keeps shrinking. On the first two levels faint marks show where the mirrors were.
What does the splitter do in this laser mirror puzzle game?
A splitter is half-silvered glass. It turns the beam like a mirror and also lets it pass straight on, so the beam leaves by two ports and you must tap both. Splitters arrive at level 6.
Is this a light reflection puzzle for spatial memory?
Yes. It mixes the classic beam puzzle idea of light reflection with a memory challenge, so it practises picturing positions and directions after they vanish.
Is every puzzle solvable?
Each board is traced by the game before you see it. The beam never loops and always leaves by the expected number of ports, never by the one it entered.
