Pixel Blaster: a pixel art puzzle game about sending colors in order
Pixel Blaster is a pixel art puzzle game where you take a picture apart instead of painting it. Paint blobs wait in short lines; tap one and it rides a belt around the picture, blasting every outside square of its own color it passes. Send the colors in the right order and the whole image disappears into your gallery.

How to play
- Tap the front blob of a line to put it on the belt. The number on it is how many shots it has.
- As it rides around the picture, it hits the first square in each row or column it passes, but only if that square is its color.
- A blob that goes a full lap with nothing to hit drops into a waiting slot. Tap it later to send it back.
- Clear every colored square to finish the picture. If a blob has nowhere to wait because every slot is full, the belt clogs and the level is lost.
What it exercises
Bright and arcade-like on the surface, but every level is really a color puzzle about order.
Attention
Before each tap you scan the edge of the picture to see which colors are actually exposed right now.
Planning
Layered pictures from level 51 hide inner colors behind an outline, so you work out which blobs must go first to open the way.
Logic
Gray stone blocks from level 151 can never be hit and shield whatever lies behind them, so some squares can only be reached from one side.
Tips
- Send colors that already show on the outside first; a blob with nothing to hit only fills a waiting slot.
- Watch the waiting slots. From level 52 you only have two, and a third idle blob clogs the belt.
- When a waiting blob starts to glow, its color is showing again. Tap it to send it back out.
- Swap trades the first two blobs of a line, which is the fix when the color you need is stuck second in a queue.
- Each level gives one Extra slot, one Swap and one set of Bonus shots for free, but tools and early sends both count against the three-star rating.
- On a keyboard, keys 1 to 4 send the front blob of a line, W sends a waiting blob back, and E, S and B use the tools.
Frequently asked questions
What kind of pixel art game is this?
It is a color order puzzle on pixel pictures. You do not color by number; you remove the picture by sending each paint color around it at the right moment.
Can I play this pixel puzzle online for free?
Yes. Pixel Blaster is free in your browser on a phone, tablet or computer, with no ads and no download.
How many levels does Pixel Blaster have?
180. New ideas arrive along the way: layered pictures at level 51, a smaller waiting area at 52, stone blocks at 151 and hidden "?" blobs at 152. Breather levels with a roomier belt show up regularly.
How do I get three stars?
Every level allows a few waits. Stay within that allowance and use no tools for three stars; one or two extra waits or tool uses give two stars, more give one.
What are the pictures?
Small pixel images such as a heart, a mushroom, a sailboat, a ghost, a cupcake, a rocket, an owl, a whale and a castle. Every finished picture is added to your gallery.
