Shell Game: follow the gems under the cups
This is the shell game you know from street corners and fairgrounds, rebuilt as an honest tracking challenge: the cups lift to show the gems, drop, and then slide around the table. Your only job is to keep your eyes on the right cups and tap them when the shuffle stops. Nothing is hidden up anyone's sleeve; every gem stays under the cup you saw it in.

How to play
- Watch the cups lift and note which ones hide a gem.
- Follow those cups as they swap, rotate in groups of three and glide across the table.
- When the shuffle stops, tap every cup you think hides a gem.
- Find them all to move on; miss one and you lose a heart and replay the level with a new shuffle.
What it exercises
Following several moving targets at once is a skill of its own, and this game trains little else.
Multiple object tracking
Later levels hide up to four gems, so you follow several cups at once while the others are moving too.
Sustained focus
A shuffle can run for more than a dozen moves. Glance away for one swap and the trail is gone.
Ignoring distractions
From level 6 a decoy cup blushes purple in the middle of the shuffle. It is there to pull your eyes away, and the job is not to let it.
Tips
- Soften your gaze and watch the group of gem cups as one shape rather than darting from cup to cup.
- When two pairs move at once, stay with the pair that holds a gem and let the other pair blur.
- Say the gem positions to yourself after the cups lift: left, middle.
- Ignore the purple blush completely. It means nothing, and the gems never jump to another cup.
- Warm up on the early three cup game levels, where only one gem moves, before the table fills up.
- On a keyboard, number keys pick cups, which is handy on fast levels.

Keep your eyes on the gem cups from the moment they drop, ignore everything else and tap them when the shuffle ends. Each gem found scores 10 points, and finding every gem in a round adds a level bonus.
Is it like the cup and ball game online?
It is the same idea with more to follow. Level 1 has three cups, one gem and four moves. By level 12 there are eight cups in two rows, four gems and a quicker, longer shuffle.
Does this follow the ball in the cup game have lives?
You get three hearts per run. A round where you miss any gem costs one heart, and the run ends when they are gone.
